AriaWAI is an embeddable accessibility widget that gives every visitor real controls over font size, contrast, dyslexia fonts, text-to-speech, and ten other settings. The web accessibility overlay market is dominated by two or three vendors who charge several hundred dollars a month and claim, often in marketing copy that has now been challenged by the United States Federal Trade Commission, that a single line of code can deliver legal compliance with WCAG, the ADA, Section 508, and EN 301 549. It cannot, and the accessibility community has spent years saying so. AriaWAI was built on the opposite premise: that an overlay widget is a useful comfort layer for visitors, not a compliance shortcut, and that being honest about that distinction is a viable competitive position.
